“The advantages of the Mako Technology allow me to combine a preoperative 3D model CT scan with intra‐operative robotic templating,” Boyd said in the release. “This enables an extremely accurate alignment of the knee components and leg length, fitting each patient’s unique anatomy.”
Dr. Boyd adds, “The advantages of a Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted joint replacement allows the surgeon to combine the preoperative 3D model CT scan with intra-operative robotic templating to align the hip and knee components and leg length to an unprecedented level of accuracy that was not previously achievable without the robotic guidance.”
Dr. Bradley Boyd recently joined the staff of Fair Oaks Orthopaedic Associates.
